Culture & History Presents:
Private Tour of Van Gogh Exhibit-
ENCORE
Santa Barbara Art Museum
March 8 Event sold out, so we arranged a Second Tour
The town is all abuzz about the Santa Barbara Art Museum's upcoming Van Gogh exhibit. We have a rare chance to experience the magnificent exhibit in a private tour.
The exhibit presents 20 works of art by Van Gogh alongside some 75 objects selected to reflect the surprisingly varied art that he most admired. Over 60 artists are represented. It also taps into Van Gogh's literary imagination by displaying first-editions of novels by Charles Dickens, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Leo Tolstoy and Edgar Allan Poe to conjure up the fictional worlds that enflamed Vincent's inner eye.
We will meet for lunch at 12:30 at 1114 Restaurant in Arcada Plaza, then head over to the Museum for 2PM tour. Bring cash for lunch.
All attendees must be fully vaccinated.
Group is small to allow full enjoyment of exhibit. If waitlist is large enough we will schedule extra event(s).
Museum Members are free (You need to enter your membership number when you sign up here.) Non-Museum-member under 65: $25; 65-and-up: $16. Sign up with the appropriate group. If you wish, you will have the chance to apply your fee toward a Museum membership.
